June 14, 2007:
Very busy past few weeks, preparing for the opening of "Playing for Keeps" in NYC, among other daily tasks like work, etc. Here's a quick version of "Cheers & Jeers":
Cheers: for the 4th Circuit Court denying the President the authority to throw away U.S. citizens' Constitutional rights and liberties at will.
“To sanction such presidential authority to order the military to seize and indefinitely detain civilians," Judge Diana Gribbon Motz wrote, “even if the President calls them ‘enemy combatants,’ would have disastrous consequences for the Constitution — and the country.”
Jeers: Joe Leiberman calling for the bombing of Iran. Way to go Joe... exactly how much did AIPAC pay you to say that? I hope the good people of Connecticut are realizing what a huge mistake they made in believing his "Independent-Party-of-Joe" B.S.
Cheers: Scooter going to jail for lying. The judge (a Republican Bush appointee) makes it clear that there was no question Scooter knew about Ms. Plame's identity, and his claims of not remembering after 9 conversations were bogus. And all these freaks who are talking pardon seem to be the ones who wanted Pres. Clinton tarred and feathered...
