July 19, 2006:

Back to lighter subjects that only affect us here at home. Attorney General Gonzales stated in testimony for the umpteenth time that the Domestic Wiretapping was too secret, sensitive and hush-hush for anyone to talk about, and that the President himself blocked an investigation into the program. During the hearings, Democratic Senator Diane Feinstein managed to catch Gonzales in a lie: Gonzales admitted that the Congressional approval to use military force was NOT the same as a formal declaration of war. Yet in the past, Gonzales has argued for the use of Presidential powers because of this same Congressional approval. So which is it, Mr. Gonzales?
