Graphix4change is not an organization but an ongoing artistic and educational project designed to promote social and political change through the use of design and satire. The goal of graphix4change is to subvert everyday consumer images into a commentary on the current state of politics in America and the world. It is completely self-funded and does not rely on corporate advertising. Sometimes scathing, sometimes humorous, but always personal, the works presented within this site are the views of one artist who has been frustrated with the direction of this country post 9-11, when any form of dissent or questioning was deemed to be "unpatriotic" by the Bush Administration. Even more frustrating has been watching the American media's complacency in asking the questions that needed to be asked, while allowing untruths and rhetoric to shape the collective public attitude. It's time 4 change... Note: This site is viewed best using Firefox or Mozilla based browsers with pop-up blockers turned off. Updates (Nov 2011): Review of the Biennial Arts Faculty Exhibition here. _______ For those of you in the NY area, the 8th Annual NY Arab American Comedy Festival is in full swing. Click here for details. Logo and artwork again created by your's truly! _______ "The Teabagg'rs", a new line of cuddly political action figures are here! These toys mark a first in the Graphix4Change style, as "The Teabagg'rs" are not a parody of any particular product, but rather an original concept that continues to play with the themes of politics and consumerism. _________ The Associated Press article hit the wires and spread all over the web and broadcast news... including FOX News (Download PDF version of story) . Thanks to all who sent supportive emails. To reiterate, since some of the news broadcasts were not clear: the Patriot Act: The Home Version game is not for retail sale. It is only available as a free download. The four actual games that were created exist for exhibit use and are only available for sale or loan to museums or galleries (currently one resides at the Puffin Institute). To date I have not made any profit from this project, and have declined the ability to do so.
